the SILVER measure

ABOUT

the SILVER measure was started in 1997.

Original members were Christos Germeneglou, Gerald Cheatam, Doug Chase, Steven Tod and Allison Stanley. The group formed in E lansing, MI and recorded their first album ‘Four My Sake’ in the winter of 1997. The objective of this album was to help the homeless on the streets of Lansing by providing them with a means to generate an income as well as commerce upon which to survive. In 1998 Steven and Allison moved to Chicago and continued to work as a goup- recording the album ‘A smoKe FuRy’ in 1999 as a live show at the Empty Bottle, which included all original members and their original compositions. Paul Giallorenzo joined the group in 2000. By 2006 a history, perspective, and manifesto of the group had evolved into a rich array of collaboration with various artists and performances in Chicago and throughout the mid-west, and now consist mainly of filmscoring and filmmaking. Other projects include Fractured Flag and transaction Ensemble. Additional group members include Jason Goldstein and Ed Reardon.
